Working with people who are recently widowed - Special ceremonies for soul-mates
Working with the personal to enable it to become part of the public ceremony. Writing rituals and ceremonies to mark the loss of a partner or spouse (soul mate). Working with people who are dealing with sudden loss and those who have endured long illness. Finding the balance between the deceased's story, the widow's story, the children's story and the family/friend's story. Creating ceremonies that support on-going helpful inclusion in the memories of the ones they loved. Supportive ceremonies for widows/widowers and the children of the deceased. Including private farewells for the widow/widower.
NB - the signficance and depth of the farewell can be a major element of the capacity of the widow or widower to move forward. This masterclass looks at how we, as celebrants, can hold space and support the process for spouses/partners and families.
