This activity describes how choreography is central to the celebrant task. Beyond the creation of a dance, the dictionary definition of choreography is “the carefully planned or executed organization of an event, or the manoeuvring of people or things.” Movement and placement, in general, fits into the overall structure and context of the Marriage Ceremony.

At the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Identify the most appropriate choreography for the processional and recessional component of the ceremony.
  • Identify the choreographic elements of the ceremony that will bring the best aesthetic look and feel to the ceremony and provide the best flow.
